SO LONG, BLOODSUCKERS!

One sunny summer day in generic SoCal, USA, ten year old best friends Avery Anderson and Julio Jimenez make a blood pact to be Best Friends Forever. Ten days later, Julio goes missing.
Ten years later, Avery’s quiet life as a maladjusted college drop-out is shattered when Julio kicks his way back into it- this time as a recently resurrected failed sacrifice for an isolated desert cult… and whose life force is now inexorably intertwined with Avery’s.
Their occult ritual thwarted by a childish blood oath, Julio’s forced foster family of doomsday devotees are determined to track him down and finish what they started. Even if they have to go through Avery to do it.

‘So Long, Bloodsuckers!’ is a supernatural dark comedy/horror comic about blood, guts, and friendship enduring beyond death. It’s inspired by campy 80s vampire movies like The Lost Boys and Near Dark, music genres such as emo and glam rock, new wave, and post-hardcore, growing up in a Latino/Mormon household, and the subsequent lifelong interest in high control groups/cult and their intersection with the US southwest and its inhabitants.
It contains graphic imagery and concepts that might be disturbing to some readers. 18+ advised.
